Little Black Book - Vintage Treasures

This week, we're going to share with you a shop that we love so much, we don't really want to share it...

Vintage Treasures is a hidden gem of a shop, crammed with dozens of unique pieces of homeware and furniture. It's another one of those Aladdin's Cave type of stores - you simply never know what you will find.

Nestled away in a quiet corner of a small town called Hinckley, it is a tiny, unassuming shop which somehow only makes it all the more magical and exciting when you step inside. It is warm and cosy and has a genuinely authentic vintage smell. You know, the type that automatically transports you back to another era, a better time and place.

Full to bursting with retro kitchen equipment (think old-school jelly moulds, retro rolling pins and mismatched china), beautiful textiles and soft furnishings and incredible furniture, it really is wondrous inside. Each time I visit, I stop and stare at the vintage Mrs Beeton books and long to become a 50s housewife. Never thought I'd admit that one...

The owner Christine is also absolutely lovely. She is incredibly welcoming and always seems to remember a face, which is one thing I always look for in a shop.

Happily, we aren't the only ones to recognise just how good it is - the shop has just made it through to Homes and Antiques Magazine's final five for the best vintage stores in the country. Fab, huh?

Here are a few of my favourite bits in store right now...you can also order online through
