Simply Serums - Pai

There’s something about the word “serum” which makes me think of all things magical and mystical. From Harry Potter and the little vials of Veritaserum, to Jack Bauer storming through an interrogation room with truth serum, I can’t help but let my mind wander…

This may be why I was a bit dubious about facial oils to start with. I already use a very good moisturiser and night cream (Elemis) and I wondered just how much of a difference a serum could make.

Well, how wrong was I?! After spending the winter months trialling and testing them out (Pai, Liz Earle, iRejuvenate and Decleor, among others), I am now an addict! A fully-fledged convert.

Anyway, Pai's is not only the cheapest oil that I tried, but it is also my pick of the best...

Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate Fruit and Seed Oil Blend
£20, available to buy here

There are few brands that I adopt quite so readily as Pai. It takes a lot to tear me away from my loyal Liz Earle, Elemis and Dr Hauschka routine, but I this may well be the first brand to have finally shook things up.

Since using this oil (I apply three drops onto my fingertips and massage in, morning and night) my skin has looked dewy and brighter. I have a glow like I’ve never had before, and my face is so soft that I can’t stop stroking it.  In fact, I don’t even need to use my moisturiser – and foundation is usually pointless!

This little bottle has also magically made my oily skin a lot, lot better. Who knew?

Onto the serious stuff...Rosehip apparently delivers Trans-Retinoic Acid directly to the skin, which converts to Vitamin A to boost the skin's natural healing process. So far, so good.
Rosehip must be a miracle ingredient because it is also renowned for its ability to improve skin’s elasticity, as well as reversing sun damage, helping to heal scars and blur fine lines. So much promise from one small bottle!
While I haven't been testing this long enough to check whether or not it gets rid of my lines, it really and truly does plump your skin. The ingredients are also 99% organic – what more could you want?
Honestly, I cannot recommend this product highly enough. I can't wait to get testing some of Pai's other products...stay tuned!
