Hollywood Glam - Dr Hauschka Lipstick

Sam:

When I was younger, I would watch my mum as she would pull chic tubes from her bag and apply it in a pocket mirror. To me, it was (and still is) the epitome of Hollywood glamour. I have always thought that tomen look mesmerisingly elegant when applying a tube of lipstick - think Audrey Hepburn in the taxi scene at Breakfast at Tiffanys, or Marilyn Monroe.

Yet fast forward ten or so years and, however much I tried, I just couldn't get on with lipstick. I couldn't find the right colour to suit me, the right texture. In fact, every lipstick I tried seemed to dry out my lips and leave them looking flaky and chapped. So, rather sadly, I gave up the ghost and became an eyeliner addict instead...

Then, earlier this year, I fell head over heels for MAC Cockney, a gorgeous, vivid red lippy. I finally found something that worked - and I loved it! It made me feel glamorous, it made me feel like I had a sexy pout, and it made me beam from ear to ear.

So, finally being a lipstick convert, I was desperate to find more...

Just at the right time, we contacted the wonderful Dr Hauschka, who offered to send us two of their limited edition Inner Glow lipsticks. Costing £21.95 each, these lippies are perfect for spring - and they also happen to be the ultimate in luxury lipsticks.

I fell in love with these lipsticks as soon as I tore open the packaging. Just the gold tube on its own was enough to send me into a beauty frenzy! Who wouldn't want to pull something this glam from their handbag? They feel decadent and seductive to use - you can just imagine Marilyn Monroe pouting into her mirror as she smears it on her lips.

The Inner Glow range comes in five different shades, all of which are perfect for brightening your look this season. I opted for Pink Topaz, which was a bright shade of...well...pink. It didn't turn out so bright on my lips and simply added a lovely, natural gloss to them. It was incredibly moisturising and felt more like a lip treatment than a lipstick.

Look at how sexy this lipstick is!

I've lost count of the number of people who have complimented me on my lipstick while I've been wearing this, and I can't begin to describe how much I love rubbing my lips together when they feel this soft!

The smell of the lipstick is also incredible, and I don't think I've ever noticed that about a lip product before! It smells deliciously fresh and fruity, and you can tell it's been packed full of essential oils and wonderful treats to keep your smackers in tip top condition.

I have fallen so deeply in love with this lipstick that I am desperate to snap it up in every single shade under the sun. And for those of you who have never tried Dr Hauschka, I can't begin to rate them highly enough (their Rose Cream is a brilliant staple product)

Teresa:

This lipstick comes with me everywhere. I love it sooo much. I love the colour, the texture and the smell!  You actually feel that with each application throughout the day that you are doing something good for your lips not just applying a slap of colour because you look washed out in the mirror.

Only downside is that the lipstick vanishes easily once you have a drink so I had to reapply frequently. However, I still think it is more durable than most lipsticks I have ever bought before.

The gold container is very attractive and has a very luxurious look about it. I am quite proud to pull this baby out of my handbag in the ladies loos whilst stood next to everyone else faffing about with their hair or what not.

In fact, only the other week at a family celebration, my Mum and my sister spied this luxurious lipstick and were very quick to quiz me about it. I am quite sure once this lipstick hits the shelves they will be buying one too.

From time to time, I do suffer with sore lips and as yet I do not feel the Dr Hauschka lipstick has remedied this but I didn't expect it to, I have never found a lipsalve, balm or lipstick to help. Although it certainly does protect my lips and leaves them feeling lip-smacking lovely.
