I wish I was as creative as you, I had to pay companies to make everything for me. My practical skills are somewhat limited, DIY brings me out in a rash. I am so envious of people who can make such beautiful things.

Lipstick - glad you liked our post. When the bus carrying everyone from the registry office to the reception broke down, we didn't worry. It made it memorable and got people talking. People put so much effort into the planning, get so stressed and then spend all day worrying that things aren't going how they planned. We planned our wedding on several Friday nights, sitting at the kitchen table drinking bottles of wine. Wrote a big list, stuck it to the fridge and then proceeded to cross the things off one at a time. (picture here https://twitter.com/#!/S_thingForever/media/slideshow?url=pic.twitter.com%2F3tbzKMZi) I made my dress, the bridesmaids dress, my headdress, the rings, sewed huge signs with our favourite phrases, we got up early the day before to buy flowers at Covent Garden market, which we then put into my Granny's old tea set. On top of all of that we wrote our vows too. And NONE of this was stressful. It was a magically heavenly day.Something Foreverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00175941058380601606[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4121736907319908597.post-27125211685516853532012-02-08T12:17:41.247Z2012-02-08T12:17:41.247ZThat's what I want to do! So many brides get carried away with the "princess bride" idea that they lose sight of what they really want.

I loved every single moment of our big day. I laughed til I cried, I cried til I laughed. I just wish I'd listened to my gut and worn a scarlet dress!

xi Am Into Thishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01360603624050156801[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4121736907319908597.post-64815631744938175772012-02-08T10:39:08.154Z2012-02-08T10:39:08.154ZI got married twice. We lived in Oxford, so we hired a canal barge called the Fair Rosamund which was a restaurant. We got married at nine in the morning. By nine thirty we were eating a fry up, floating along Oxford's canals and up by Port Meadow. We both wore black. We had a blast.

The second time I got married, we went to Las Vegas. We took our children with us, and had Jason's sister and his best friend as our only guests and witnesses. The ceremony took place at The Mandalay Bay hotel and took ten minutes! I wore a raw silk ivory full length skirt, and a corset in black, cream and gold, both from Coast. Jason wore a tux. The children picked their own outfits, and looked adorable. We had our wedding lunch at a fantastic Mexican restaurant and spent a two week honeymoon in Vegas with our children. It was such good fun and we had the best time. All the children now want to move to Vegas they loved it so much.

So, in a long winded way I say, do what's best for you, not everyone else. Make sure your wedding is something you cherish the memories off for the rest of your life, and make sure you can remember having fun.xkatyboo1http://www.blogger.com/profile/00182125401184061843[email protected]
